Overview

Ramdung (5925 m) is situated at the south of Na Village in the upper Rolwaling area and it is one of the pack of pinnacles which is encompassed by Yalung La(Yalung Ri).It gives an entrance to the upper Rolwaling structure the south by means of the Khare Khola. Ramdung Peak Climbing offers us awesome Himalayan perspective of the massif Gaurishanker, Dorje Lakpa, Chobabhamre, Dorje Lakpa, Chobabhamre, Tibetan Himalayan perspectives.

Our trek will start from Kathmandu towards the valleys of Rolwaling and Khumbu at the place where there is the Everest. We cross the Tashi Laptsa(5,755m) and trek to Everest area than we touch base at Thame Valley plummet to Namche and our last day will be at Lukla. From Lukla, we will fly for Kathmandu along the stunning mountains, snow capped woodland of rhododendron and magnolia among the shrouded Rolwaling Valley. Our gutsy trek will proceed promote East proportional the Ramdung Peak.

To summit this pinnacle does not require any past climbing knowledge but rather climbers ought to be physically great condition and stamina to stroll along the troublesome Himalayan course and high passes. Where, we will have an acclimatization day at Ramdung Base Camp. Itinerary

Day 1: At the time of your arrival A airport representative from Trek to Nepal will greet you and transfers to the recommended hotel in Kathmandu.


Welcome dinner will be held after group meeting and introduction programs with guide and supporting crew. Overnight at hotel with bed and breakfast option.

Day 2: Sightseeing around Kathmandu valey in the UNESCO enlisted world heritage sites in Kathmandu. Overnight at hotel on b/b plan.


  

Day 3: Drive to Gongar Khola [1350m/4428ft] via Jiri Charikot [7-8 hrs drive] 


After breakfast Trek to Nepal guide will take you to the scenic drive towards Gongor Khola which takes approximately about eight hours. During the drive journey we can have great views of surrounding natural wonders including the daily activities of local people’s movement for their survival while we drive over the zigzag hilly roads passing through several local villages and towns. Over night at guest house with full board option.

Day 4: Trek to Simigaun [2000m/6560ft] [4-5 hrs Trek] 


We will start the trek from Gongor Khola by following the trail that enters into the dense forest with several ups and downs. We will trek along the river bank and head for the crossing of a suspension bridge before climbing a steep uphill that leads us to the Sherpa village of Simigaun where we are staying overnight at guest house with full board option.

Day 5: Trek to Dovan [2,850m/9348ft] [5-6 hrs Trek] 


Our hike begins by passing through through several villages inhabited by Sherpa local communities. Our trek, continues with the glimpses of Gaurishankar Himal just above the Rolwaling valley. We continue to follow the trail that goes through beautiful pine forest and then make a steep ascent over the rocky ridge. From the top we will make a gradual descent to reach all the way to Rolwaling Khola and continue trekking until we reach Dovan ,where we are staying overnight at tea house with full board option.
 

Day 6: Trek to Beding [3,690m/12103ft] [5-6 hrs Trek] 


Hike for today begins After having our breakfast, by following the trail that goes along the bank of Rolwaling Khola. We will continue trek through thick rhododendron and pine filled forest with great views of Gaurishankar Himal. Continue heading towards by crossing of a suspension bridge before ascending up to an area with open fields and the Sherpa village of Beding , where we are staying overnight at tea house with full board option.

Day 7: Trek to Na Village [4,180m/13710ft] [3-4hrs Trek]


Start the hike for the day by Leaving Beding behind with an easy gradient through fir trees. Today’s rather easy and short trekking day goes through broad and flat as we approach towards Na village. Na is a scattered village that has abundance of tea houses and offers good camping grounds for adventure seeking trekkers where we are staying overnight with full meal option.

Day 8: Rest and exploration day at Na Village for acclimatization and local hike.


Today’s day will be the exploration day at Na Village for acclimatization by strolling around Na village. 
There are several good day hike options offered by the Na villagers to its visitors. We can either, head up the valley to a small kharka and follow the trail to Yalung Peak Base Camp which is five hours return trip. Or, we can climb to the end of Tsho Rolpa lake for the views of Kang Nachago above Na which takes four hours for a return trip. Overnight at teahouse with full board option.

Day 9: Trek to Yalung Glacier [4750m/15580ft] [5-6 hrs ]


Today’s trek continues by Leaving Na, by gradual ascending over the rocky glaciated trail. Way will continues by using our crampons to walk over the slippery and icy sections of the trek. After couple hours of tiring trek we will arrive at a good campsite near Yalung Glacier where we are camping for our overnight stay before heading higher upon tented camp with full meal option.

Day 10: Trek to Ramdung Base Camp [5150m/16892ft] [5-6 hrs] 


We will follow the trail by climbing gradually over to Yalung Danda and a steep ascent along the rocky glacier will lead us to Ramdung base camp with the magnificent glimpse of Gaurishankar, Melungste, Yalung and several snow topped high peaks across the border of Tibet. By the time we reach We will set up our camp and find out the position of our valued climbers by teaching the trips for climbing with checking the geras for the success full summit of Ramdung peak. Overnight at tented camp with full board option.

Day 11: Summit Ramdung Peak [5925m/19722ft] & back to Yalung Glacier [8-9 hrs Climb]


We start early with the aim to achieve the summit before noon by Fully equipped and properly acclimatized as the strong winds after midday can create obstacles for climbing the peak summit. Continue our goal by following the footsteps and guidance of our experienced climbing experts we will overcome minor technical sections and head towards the summit of Ramdung Peak, Which is waiting our arrival with the reward of stunning views of Everest, Gaurishankar, Melungste, Yalang and other surrounding high peaks. After spending some moments to frame in time at the top we will descend following the same route back to Yalung Glacier for our overnight camping with full board option.

Day 12: Trek to Na Village [4-5 hrs Trek]


After achieving our goal to summit the Ramdung Peak, we will repeat our footsteps gradually by descending over the icy and slippery trail, using crampons we head back all the way to reach the village of Na for the overnight stayon the tea house with full board option.

Day 13: Trek to Kabuk at Tsho Rolpa Lake [4,560m/14956ft] [4-5 hrs Trek] 


Our trek for the day begins with a decent climb to a bridge over the Tsho Rolpa outflow then continue to follow the main trail that ascends an ablation valley to the south. Along the trail we pass through Chhukyima where there are couples of teashops that are run by locals from Na Village. We trek towards the end of the valley and climb a steep uphill for a magnificent view of the lake and surrounding peaks. A gradual decent from there will leads us to Kabuk, where we are sating our camps for overnight stay with full board option.

Day 14: Trek to Drolambu Glacier [4880m/16006ft] [5-6 hrs] 


Journey for today have to be started early because our trail leads by crossing of the glacier which is best before the sun gets stronger. Continue hike by crossing the plateau to the further eastern corner above the glacier before descending a loose earth trail towards the southern edge of Trakarding Glacier. From here the trail gently climbs up to get to the northern side of the glacier. Once on the north side, we follow the trail that leads to the snout of Drolambu Glacier where we are camping for overnight stay with full board option.
 
 

Day 15: Trek to Tashi Lapcha Camp & Cross Tashi Lapcha Pass [5,755m/18876ft] [6-7 hrs]


Today we shall start our trip facing the challenging Tashi Lapcha early in the morning. We then reach to the glacier that takes us to a place to cross the pass. The rocky and snow covered pass is our second challenge for today. Challenges apart this is a very fun moment as the views of the mountain and the undisturbed Sherpa tradition keeps you feel loved in lap of Mother Nature. Then we reach Tashi Lapcha Camp with a slight descend. Overnight stay at guesthouse at Tashi Lapcha Camp with full meal option.

Day 16: Descend to Thyangbo Kharka[4320m/14169ft] [5-6 hrs Trek]


Today we come down the rocky slopes of Ngole. We will continue our downward journey down to Thyangbo Kharka. There are few tea houses at Thyangbo Kharka. This is just the right place to the adventure seeking trekkers. Overnight stay at tented camp at Thyangbo Kharka with full meal options.

Day 17: Trek to Namche Bazaar [3450m/11316ft] [5-6 hrs Trek]


From Thyangbo Kharka we follow an easy two hour trail towards Thame. From Thame we walk the trail along Bhote-Khosi River. Descending gently towards Phunki Tenga, we continue on our route by crossing a bridge over Dudh Koshi. Passing through several villages and teahouses along the route finally reaches Namche Bazaar - The Sherpa Capital.

Day 18: Trek to Lukla [2,800m/9184ft] [5-6 hrs Trek]


The last day of our trek leads from Namche Bazaar via Monjo to Lukla. The trek is pleasant, except for few short uphill climbs and then down to the Bhote- Koshi River crossing it three times. The last uphill climb of 45 minutes will bring us to Lukla for our overnight stay.

Day 19:  Fly from Lukla to Kathmandu


We take an early morning flight from Lukla to Kathmandu. Enjoy the scenic mountain flight after the wonderful Ramdung Peak Climbing experience with Nepal Guide Treks.

Day 20: Free day in Kathmandu


You would surely like to see as much of Kathmandu as possible. An early start is practical to visit the temples of Kathmandu. Also, walking around the shopping area of Thamel is worth spending quality time at Kathmandu. We will have a final meal together in the evening.

Day 21: Transfer to International Airport for departure.
