Overview

Trek to Everest base camp via salleri, is one of the interested and highly praised routes for trekking to Everest. It became famous after the renowned figures Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgey Sherpa took the same route to the Mount Everest in 1953 being the oldest route of all time. It is the best way for trekkers to explore and observe the miraculous topography of the Solukhumbu region with the panoramic views of Himalayas, green forest and lush valley of the area. The simple rural life, pristine nature and culture are some of the highlights of this trek that will amaze you as much the highest peaks, yaks and many more. This trek also highlights the charms of unspoiled rural life of Sherpas.

This trek starts with a road journey from Kathmandu to Jiri then the rough Road drive to Salleri where we will be spending night at the lodge or any other hotel. Our trail passes through Solokhumbu and Gokyo valley following the same old route. The Everest base camp trek is about 145 km away from salleri via Namche Bazar. Namche Bazar is filled with most beautiful mountain scenery, ancient Buddhist Monastries, lush valleys and river that flow from mountains. This trekking allows you to experience the magnificent views of different breathtaking mountains like Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Pumori, Mt.Thamserku and Mt. Lhotse. From Namche the trail continues to rise until night time temperature drops and you move deeper into the mountains. A final acclimatization day will be at Dingboche. After there we will slow down our walk upto Lobuche, Gorak shep proceeding to the base camp. We will descend down the same way we ascended up.

This great trek from Jiri to Everest Base camp is for the travelers who are physically fit and in good health condition with the full determination to climb up the hill and can challenge themselves in unpredictable weather in the mountains. Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive at Kathmandu and transfer to hotel.


Upon arrival at Kathmandu, Trek to Nepal travel and tour representative will pick you up from airport and we will be your trustworthy travel companion until you depart for your home country. We will accommodate our valued customers in three star hotel in Kathmandu. We take care of the room and breakfast of our valued customers during their stay in Kathmandu Valley. Day 2: Kathmandu Valley sightseeing.


In Kathmandu Valley TTN representative city guide takes our customers to the landmark sight of Kathmandu. Kathmandu Durbar Square which holds the political and historical values in Nepalese civilization. Apart from Kathmandu Durbar Square, we take our customers to Swayambhu Nath Temple (Monkey Temple) which is the symbol of Harmony between Buddhists and Hindus from the very place we can get the splendid view of Kathmandu Valley and its outskirts. Furthermore, we take you to Pashupatinath Temple which is the holy place for hindu devotees and the holy cremation area which might interest you. O/N at three star hotel at b/b plan

Day 3: Bus drive to salleri


The luxurious bus/jeep drive from Kathmandu to Salleri too gives you the unique experience. The Salleri trip would give you the different set up of hill station with beautiful landscape. Salleri, which is often considered as the Switzerland of Nepal because of its natural setting and the serene beauty during snowfall.The main highlight of the salleri will be driving via jiri The ups and downs the hills would make your bus drive less hassle free more of visual delight. Day 4: Salleri to Taksindo.


After breakfast, we start our Hiking journey. It goes through the countryside road, which is wide andcomfortable if we compare the other hiking holidays. The view of Numpur Himal is awesome and the partnership with scenarios accompany will add more charms on the trip. The trekkers, who fly to Phaplu from Kathmandu for 25 minutes, will also the use the same route for trekking. Journey with Trek to Nepal adds more fun on crossing small streams and hill gorges. From Fera, we walk through the jungle of Pine with the chimps of bird entertains us till we get to Ringmo. We walk furthermore 2 hours to reach Taksindo. After all enjoying the first day trek we take a rest overnight at Lodge on Taksindo.2350

Day 5: Taksindo to Kharikhola. 5-6 hours.


Pictures que scenarios of Salleri can be explored from the hill of Taksindo when we will be having our breakfast. From another ridge, the views of Lukla, Nunthala valley astound us. We can visit the monasteries of the village represent mystical touch with Tibetan Buddhism.And after breakfast we descend through the alpine forest, pass the Nunthala village and continue trek down by crossing the Dudhkoshi River and get up to Jubingwhere we will have our lunch. After about 2 hours ascend, we reach to Kharikhola where we will be staying overnight.

Day 6: Khari khola to Phakding


From Khari khola onwards the altitude sickness might take over to you. We will take the cautious walk along the Surke village which is the very village where the first lady to conquer Everest Pasang Lhamu Sherpa was born. Along the way we pass through Surke, Chaurikharka etc. at the banks of Dudhkoshi river. O/N at guest house ,Breakfast/Lunch/Diner


Day 7: Trek to NamcheBazzar Bazar1000mtrs ascend 1oomtrs descend.


After having breakfast your journey continues to wards to Namche bazaar, crossing suspension bridge several times by enjoing the beautiful forest of pine trees and rhododendron you reach Monjo the another nice settlement in this area .just beyond Monjo your trek will enters to the sagarmatha national park entry point where you have to register your entry permit so they can register your arrival. After this your journey to Everest continuous crossing Dudh koshi river and walking several up and down makes you step climb near the confluence of two river Bhote koshi from the west and dudh koshi from the east have to cross dizzying high suspension bridge from the river. Here the straight climb begans to Namche Bazar where you will find trafficking of people climbing up hill and the local person uses the police whistle to direct traffic. After an hour climb you will reach to the rest point where you can enjoy the view of Everest resion,if the weather is nice. Start climb slowly and less steeply to namche bazaar where you may have first effect of altitude may effect.Namche is a village and Village Development Committee (Namche) in Solukhumbu District in the Sagarmatha Zone of north-eastern Nepal. It is located within the Khumbu area at 3,440 metres (11,286 ft) at its low point, populating the sides of a hill. Namche is the main trading center and tourist hub for the Khumbu region with many Nepalese officials, a police check, post and a bank. Day 8: Acclimatization.


The acclimatization process takes place in Namchebazar by taking short day hiking or relaxing by roaming around in the Namche itself. According to health experts the trekkers should always move while relaxing and acclimatizing in the altitude. So, we take our fellow trekkers to either short hiking or walking in and around Namche before setting up for the further trek. Trekkers can hike to the world’s highest placed hotel “The Everest View hotel” from where you can see the spectacular view of the Mount Everest, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Khangtega and other panoramic views of snow capped mountains. The Khangtega mountain is unique on its geographical setting as it resembles the back pack of Horse riding. O/N at guest house ,Breakfast/Lunch/Diner

Day 9: Trek to Tyangboche.


460mtrs ascend 300mtrs descend. After having breakfast we will gear up for climb again for trek to Everest region. Just after a little climb you will reach to flat bike able road with a spectacular view of Everest just like mirror front of you. Trail follows with the main street to sanasa where the path from Khumjung will meet and separates the way for gokyo. We will go down to Dudh koshi river, probably the best place to have a lunch and continuous climb to Tyangboche.Tyangboche is a very good place to spend a night with a very good tyangboche monastery. Day 10: Trek to Dingboche.


70 mtrs descend 450mtrs ascend. After having breakfast heat the road again to wards to Dingboche via coming muddy trail down to Debuche following the rhodondron bushes till we cross the imja khola and climb to pangboche via sanasa,where we are having our lunch.After pangboche the route enters alpine meadows above tree line and you will only find bushes of junifer and you will reach somare with some teahouse and from there the way devides after crossing river to orsho, lower trail goes to dingboche and the upper trail goes to Pheriche.

Dingboche is a village in the Khumbu region of eastern Nepal. Situated at an altitude of about 4,371 m (14,340 ft), above chhukkung river, Dingboche is a popular stop for trekkers and climbers, where you will find consultation from docters and voleanters if you are having any problems.  Dingboche was primarily a farming village raising potatoes and buckwheat, and keeping yaks. It is the important stop over for acclimatization too. This is the way to Island peak, popular climbing small peak in this reason. O/N at guest house ,Breakfast/Lunch/Diner

Day 11: Trek to Lubuche. 700 mtrs ascend


Upon this juncture our trail starts to step higher up in the mountains slowing leaving behind the khumbu glacier. On the way we will see the memorials of many mountaineers who died while trying to conquer the mount Everest. The cemetery marks the memorial of the famous climber like Scott Fisher, Rob Hall and other climbers. The air starts to become thinner from here onwards as we pass the pumori, khumbutse, mahalangur himal(mountain) along with the Nuptse smiling on our right. O/N at guest house ,Breakfast/Lunch/Diner

Day 12: Trek to Gorakshep 250mtrs ascend and to base camp5360 mtrs.


From lubuche to Gorakshep we start to see the north ridge of Everest along with Mt. Pumori, Mt. Mahalangur, Mt. Lingtern, Mt. Khumbutse, Mt. Nuptse, etc. Little walk down would take us to Thangma Riju from where we can have the glory of 360 degree sight of snowy mountains. Climbing steeply up to the top through the torrent of Changri Glacier, we catch our first glimpse of Kala Patthar, a grey-green knoll beneath the Mt. Pumori. As we reach Gorak Shep, we will find snow-capped mountains looming all around us including the top of the world - Mt. Everest. After a brief lunch and rest, we start our goal the trek to Everest Base Camp through the once vast Gorak Shep Lake. Upon arriving here we will be greeted with the lots of colorful tents of people vying to conquer the Mt. Everest. At this very juncture we can feel relaxed that we have achieved our ultimate goal. Back to Gorakshep with a success smile without minding the wind bloom welcoming us for our success. Day 13: Trek to Dingboche.


70 mtrs descend 450mtrs ascend. Day 14: Trek to Namche Bazar


500mtrs descend and200mtrs ascend. We will focus our journey towards to tyangboche monastry
 
After a panoramic view from Tyangboche monastery we will make a short visit to monastery on the occasion of lunch preperationthen continue our journey down hill to the river and climb up to sanasa .After tea break at sanasa we contienue our journey to Namche Bazzar where we are going to stay to night.O/N at guest house ,Breakfast/Lunch/

Day 15: Trek to Phakding Trek to Phakding 100 mtrs ascend 950mtrs descend.


After breakfast we will start our descend journey to Fakding Start slowly with your Himalayan memory on mind and try to make pleasant journey make sure that you will not heart your knees because it’s a really good downhill. Same processor will be done at Jorsalle we have to exit from national park then pleasant walk to Fakding. O/N at guest house ,Breakfast/Lunch/Diner

Day 16: Trek to Lukla150mtrs descend 300mtrs ascend.


Today is the last day of your walking holiday. Just walk slowly with beautiful sceneries of Himalayas on mind. The last day of trekking. At this juncture we will have fun while trekking with some songs on popular Nepali folk tunes, we will share the pictures that we took and the memories that we cherished. Upon reaching Lukla we will give rest to our mind and body by being prepared for evening celebration. O/N at guest house ,Breakfast/Lunch/Diner

Day 17: Fly back to Kathmandu.(farewell dinner)


We head back to Kathmandu and as earlier the accommodation will be provided along with the breakfast in a three star hotel in Kathmandu. On spare day you can roam around Thamel or other major touristic areas at Kathmandu and do some shopping of Nepali souvenir for your friends and families. Fare well dinner will be held either in a typical Nepali restaurant in Kathmandu with cultural programs or with the Trek to Nepal guide family on our farm house in Goldhunga. Day 18: Departure to final destination. we will drop you to Tribhuban international airport by private airport transport.
