According to Hindu Mythology and various religious compositions it is believed that Lord Vishnu got cursed by the wife of Jalandhar and turned him into fossil. These fossils are supposed to have been on the shores of Damodar Kunda. The Lake is situated in the gorgeous Annapurna Region of Nepal and is the source of Kaligandaki River. On the vicinity of the lake another religiously significant Lord Vishnu temple of Muktinath is also present. It is believed that offering prayers to Lord Vishnu and taking the fossil (Shaligrams) is the most holy act to do. However, reaching to these places is not an easy task to do. After early morning breakfast in hotel at Kathmandu you will be transferred to domestic airport of Nepal. Itinerary
Day 1: We will go for domestic airport to board heli then will fly to Muktinath temple . After 5-10 minutes there for photography we will again fly for Jomsom mountain resort for breakfast. After lunch fly back to Kathmandu through world’s deepest George situated between the Dhaulagiri and Annapurna Himalayan ranges. and transfer to hotel.
